Transforming Nursing Home Staff Engagement Through Technology

MissionCare Collective recently sat down with the team at Arden Courts of Largo to discuss workforce strategy in skilled nursing. They shared how they're easily communicating with their staff on a daily basis, leveraging AI tools to save time, and are building stronger connections between teammates.

Here is the full transcript.

"Joel Gaitan: The most profound impact that I find CoachUp Care giving us so far is one, communication. The ease of communicating with everyone that's always been a desire as an operator to say, you know, man, I wish I can give everybody this message, but that would require having everybody's phone number and texting it all at once. This CoachUp Care makes it that much easier to send out messages all at once. Being encouraging, having a positive outlook of things, our job in itself is difficult and challenging. So CoachUp Care makes it that much easier to just be able to send out positive message on a daily basis if need be.

Dea Cruz: What I like most about CoachUp Care, is that it's user friendly. I'm able to get on, you know, five minutes a day and it makes such a huge impact on my employees. You know, the AI, aspect of it is great as well.

Janet Aldridge: At my age, I just turned 82 and I love learning new things. I love technology. Um I found CoachUp Care to be extremely easy to use. It's just laid right out there for you. There's no learning curve. It's just a fun program. So I hope that I'm an example of how easy it is to use at any age.

Joel Gaitan: The ease to implement CoachUp Care, was really easy. You know, I found it really easy to manipulate, to learn and then getting staff to get on it, the more familiar we became, the easier it was to get them on board. So now we implement it to where as someone's being hired on the first or second day of the new hire process, we get them on CoachUp Care.

Dea Cruz:  With respect to our newsletters, I would say CoachUp Care saved us about two weeks, a month of, you know, labor of trying to get together content for a newsletter when we're just easily able to go in there and just, you know, put in the information. The AI feature is great. So if there's something that we wanna say and we can't quite find the words, you know, we just put it in there and it just generates something really beautiful to share with the staff.

Janet Aldridge: It's a wonderful way to communicate and it's a wonderful way for a team to get to know their teammates. Every worker has no excuse not to learn and get to know their teammates. And by doing that, you always have somebody that has your back. So I love CoachUp Care."
