Case Study: Interim of Dothan Increases Workforce Capacity

We recently met with Interim Healthcare of Dothan to discuss workforce strategy and the impact of implementing CoachUp Care just a few short months ago.  Watch the 5-minute video to learn how this power team:

 - Reduced unfilled shifts from 8% to 2.8%
 - Added $7,200 /month in revenue
 - Increased employee engagement
 - Increased eNPS from 7.5 to 9
 - "Reduced chaos"
 - Built community, making their team feel appreciated

Here is the full transcript.

"Tell you what the greatest impact on our company since we've launched Coach up Care has probably been a twofold answer. The first would have been engagement of the employees. I really believe that the employees get on CoachUp Care, they interact with each other, interact with us so that, that engagements felt pretty significantly. And the other is the reward and recognition system that allows us to assign points so that the individual employee can access gift cards and, and other items that we have out on the reward and recognition program. The financial impact, we cut our unfilled shifts from about 8% to over the last three months, 2.8% which equates to about $7200 a month in additional billing. So we have seen an increase in our net promoter score. When we started this, we were at about a 7.5 and each month after that, we've seen an increase in our net promoter score. The NPS for this past month, over the past two months now is 9. So we're real happy with that.

I do know our miss shifts have gone from right around 5 to 6% to drop down to about 2 to 3% on week. When the more you can send an employee to a shift, the less shifts that you miss, the more revenue you have and that improves the bottom line.

The time investment for us is maybe 15-20 minutes a day. We try to get on it every day. I look at it every day. I wanna see what they're saying.

Our caregivers love interacting on CoachUp Care and they are quick to support one another. We actually had a caregiver whose newborn infant son had to be rushed into emergency surgery. So without giving out too many details, I kind of put out a little prayer work request slash, you know, send good vibes and she was so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support that she received that she actually went on there to comment her appreciation and to update everyone once they made it through surgery successfully.

How does CoachUp Care reduce the call outs or for, for our staff? I would say it just goes back into the rewards. The not calling out for certain month, you get a certain amount of points for not calling out. So now they have an incentive to not call out. It's not just, hey, I'm getting, I'm getting paid for the day. It's not only am I getting paid for the day, but I'm being rewarded, I'm being recognized for not calling out.

We noticed reduced chaos. With the call offs, because everybody's calling, we push out a shift and pretty much within 5 to 10 minutes is covered because they know they're gonna get awarded for this. So it, it has helped in that. Yes. Because of CoachUp Care, there is less scrambling in the office. Like I said, we push it out and it's filled pretty quickly. Everybody knows about CoachUp Care. They're very excited about it.I was just looking a few minutes ago before we got on and everyone has been en engaged within the last couple of days in CoachUp Care. So they're seeing everything as we push it out.

So what's the biggest impact and how much time investment I would say that there's probably about 2 to 2.5 hours a week between the five of us invested in CoachUp Care that's putting out uh articles, putting out surveys reviewing the statistics, the data and then talking about what we need to address how we need to address it. So it really doesn't take a lot of work to make a significant impact.

The things I appreciate about CoachUp Care is that I'm a firm believer in thanking the caregivers for what they do. I've been in health care for 45 plus years and a lot of times you don't get recognized like you should and we were looking for something to recognize our caregivers because they're going out and taking care of our clients. We wanted something that we could say,  "thank you so much". We want to recognize you and CoachUp Care fit that perfectly."
